INTRO DAY

A gorgeous day together learning ways of working the body

bodyways is a gentle, flowing style of massage and bodywork that helps people relax deeply and feel more connected to themselves. It’s inspired by Thai massage; we work on a comfortable mat on the floor using oil, slow movements, stretching, supportive holds, and full-body contact that feels natural and grounding. At the heart of it all is something simple: how we show up for one another with care, attention, and presence.

This one-day intro workshop gives you a real feel for what bodyways is like. You’ll learn how to touch in ways that help someone soften, unwind, and trust the process. We explore easy postures, smooth transitions, and ways of using your own movement and body weight so that giving doesn’t feel like hard work.

We’ll also spend time arriving together as a group, creating a space where people feel comfortable, safe, and able to be themselves. You’ll practice how to help someone settle before receiving touch, how to move with them rather than “at” them, and how to bring warmth and intention into every gesture without overthinking it.

Whether you’re completely new to this, or you’ve given massages before and want to explore a more intuitive, connected way of working, this day is designed to be open, playful, and confidence-building. You’ll finish with a simple set of techniques you can use straight away at home, with partners, friends, or in your own practice - along with a deeper sense of how to touch with presence and heart.

No experience needed. Just bring yourself and a willingness to explore.

“Darren left me feeling really light, spacious and free. Also a little taller! All the scattered, unnamable feelings have either found their roots and gotten comfy in my bones or flown away on the wind as I’d hoped.

Having a space to feel held while I processed was a really precious experience. Darren provided such a feeling of sanctuary.”
