Embodiment | Touch | Togetherness

Welcome to Sanctuary

A space of embodiment and connection for gbtq+ men in London.

We meet regularly to build a sense of community in the city. We enjoy the space together through embodiment practice and connection exercises. We check in and share with each other whatever’s going on for us in our lives and enjoy the exchange of mutual therapeutic touch.

Since 2021 sanctuary in London has been about creating a space in the city where we can come together with a sense of connection and belonging. A space where we can express fully who we are and find acceptance and solidarity.

  • The evening takes place fully clothed.

  • We use simple and effective tools to get into our bodies and connect with each other.

  • We share our experiences to bond through vulnerability and empathic listening.

  • We give and receive touch and massage.

  • Using play, we find our way into touch with one another that is consensual and non-sexual (think massive cuddle pile).

This circle is for you are a gay. bi, queer, trans man or a non-binary person attracted to men and have ever:

  • Wanted to explore your connection to others in a sober, intentional space.

  • Wanted to make new friends with others in a different and more intimate environment.

  • Wanted to explore your spirituality with others.

  • Are curious about what connection with others might feel like beyond sex and substances.

  • Have felt like a bit of an outsider and are looking for people more aligned with your values.

Your host:

Darren is a bodyworker, yoga teacher and facilitator of over eleven years experience of working on a 1:1 basis and in groups; creating space for embodiment, free expression and community.

Darren is passionate about the health and wellbeing of queers and enjoys the process of co-creating community through a blend of camaraderie, embodiment practice and no nonsense spiritual wisdom where we can be real, feel and connect. His approach to teaching and facilitation is daft, honest, camp and irreverent with a sense of lived experience and spiritual rebellion.

I met beautiful and kind people; we all shared with deep respect for one another and it was the first time in months I felt like I belonged.
